Sea Ranch Wildlife

Last week (end of May '08) we returned from Belgium and Turkey to discover we were to
have the Sea Ranch sheep & goats in our front yard. The turkeys and crows joined
them for lunch. Here are some photos from our house.
A hundred miles north of San Francisco on California Coast Highway 1, the Sonoma/Mendocino Coast meets the Pacific Ocean in a magnificent display of nature. Ocean waves crash upon the rocks, California Grey Whales pass on their annual trek from the Arctic to Baja California and back again, colonies of Sea Lions and Harbor Seals frolic in the surf and beautiful stretches of sandy beaches beckon the beach comber as The Sea Ranch provides a quiet but active respite from the stresses of the everyday.

The Sea Ranch is the ideal location for your Northern California coastal experience. Covering more than ten miles of the Sonoma coastline, the several thousand acres of large, open, and natural settings interspersed with award winning architecture, is truly unique and recognized worldwide for environmentally sensitive planning and architecture.  http://www.searanchvillage.com/
